I can work in whatever way is best for you.
Either on my own or as part of an agency or client team. You can fly me
to your yacht in the South Pacific or I can visit your offices in London
or New York. Or anywhere else. We can talk over the phone or we can send
e-mails to each other.
Skip this next bit if you know the score. But if you
would like an idea of the process, here goes.
How it works
- Brief: one way or another, you need to tell
me what you want. I will generally ask lots of questions. Though I promise
to take up as little of your time as possible.
- Agree fee: once I understand the amount of
work involved I will confirm that I can deliver what you want within
your budget.
- First draft: you may have some comments or
want to make some changes to the first draft of copy. If it's appropriate,
I can send copy to you in stages.
- Approval: it's worth being sure early on who
has to approve the final copy. So no-one steps in at the last moment
with their penny's worth.
- Final text: it might take more than one draft,
but we'll soon end up with copy that does the job you want it to.
- Artwork: I recommend that you show me final
artwork or laser proofs before the job goes to print. Sometimes, changes
are made that include misspellings or affect the meaning.
- Samples: once the job is finished, please
send me at least one copy of the finished item.
- Feedback: I am always pleased to hear how
well my work has helped your business, so do let me know how the job
has been received.
- Next job: and then we repeat the process.
